I probably would never have gone to this Japanese Noodle bar if my grandson hadn’t insisted we do so – it was very young and swinging, but I somehow managed to hold my own and really enjoyed it. There are queues outside to get in nearly every evening so obviously a lot of other people feel the same way…
I am not a connaisseur of noodle dishes, so will limit myself to telling you that we what we had was absolutely delicious! My grandson chose Tantammen, which consisted of chili, pork mince, bok choy in chicken bone broth and was quite spicey, £11 , and I had T22 which was soy ramen, chicken, cock scratchings, again in chicken bone broth , £9.
Some of the other choices available are Sweet 3 Miso Ramen £10, soft shell crab with green chili and ginger sauce £8, and salmon sashimi with lime soy £8.
The drink of choice is obviously sake which comes in a multitude of varieties: sweet, cold, hot, bubbly at £8-10 a shot. Or a bottle is £50. But there are also some interesting fresh juices such as cucumber and prink grapefruit, as well as various soft drinks and beer.
If you know a young person willing to accompany you, it’s a lot of fun!
