Tommi’s Burger Joint, London W.1.

I loved this burger joint  which opened a few months ago.  It’s small and buzzing, with rock and roll (!) music playing not too loudly, and above all fabulous burgers and fries.

Apart from the usual choice of plain, cheese or cheese and bacon burgers, there are also veggie burgers and, best of all, the steak burgers. You can have these with cheese and bacon too and you can also add béarnaise or cocktail sauce.  But the burgers are so great that they don’t really need spicing up.

Beer, wine and soft drinks complete the offerings.

The burgers start at £5.90 , fries are £2.75 (one basket is more than enough for 2 people) and the steak burgers are £8.90.  Bacon and cheese an extra £1.60.

There is also a kid’s menu (£5.90 with fries and soft drink) and a phone order take out service as well. But I live just around the corner so I won’t be using that option.
