Sadly the Roussillon seems to be losing more restaurants than it is gaining.
Pascal Borrell, the chef at the Maison du Terroir in Maury has left the restaurant bearing his name. It remains to be seen what will happen here in the future. The Auberge de Sceaury in Rasigueres has also lost its chef – we will have to await developments there too.
I have also received several comments about the Restaurant La Cooperative in the Hotel Riberach in Belesta, from people not at all impressed by the service, nor by the rising prices and supplements to the menu. Having eaten there three times now, I have to say that I agree. This is really a pity as the restaurant started off with great promise and it would be a sad day for the area if its potential were not to be fulfilled.
