Yakitori has been at its present location for over 20 years and we have been going there for the same length of time!
It is actually part of a chain of about 5 restaurants in Paris, but you don’t get that impression at all. The staff have been there for several years and know their customers, the decor is welcoming and low-key, and the sushi chef is a delight to watch.
The restaurant is well situated for the Montparnasse shopping area, and is always very busy. This is because it is probably one of the best deals in Paris – Euros 7.50 for the starter lunch menu, which comprises miso soup, a delicious white cabbage salad, 4 extra fresh sushi and 6 maki, plus a bowl of rice! There are, of course, many other slightly more expensive menu combinations available, several with a selection of brochettes, which you can watch being made right in front of you .
Japanese beer and green tea are the main beverages.
