Dolce Bio, Paris 75006

If you like Italian Gelati and you are also a bio fan, this ice cream parlour will be just up your alley. Advertised as the first artisanal 100% bio ice cream, Dolce Bio has just one shop in Paris, but four in Italy, including in Rimini and Perugia.

In Paris the front of the shop is small, but the back, where all the good stuff happens, is long and narrow with gleaming equipment on each wall. There is a long list of ice cream flavours, including mint, pistachio, pannetone, coffee and chocolate and the ice cream is served both in cups and cornets. You can also have lemon, mango and Sicilian orange sorbets. The ice creams are €3.50 for a small serving and €5.50 for a large – I could hardly finish the small one! And it was so delicious!

But there are also lots of other goodies: frozen yoghourts, ice cream chocolate bars, delicious looking cakes and pannetone, as well as biscuits, brownies and croissants.

The staff are Italian, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. There ‘s seating for about 5 people, the day’s newspapers are available for perusal and all in all it’s La Dolce Vita!
